主要成果
1.糖尿病慢性并发症的研究：在国内较早系统开展糖尿病肾病早期诊断的研究，建立定量运动激发试验方法、尿微量白蛋白和转铁蛋白等早期糖尿病肾病诊断方法，并开展血管紧张素转换酶抑制剂治疗糖尿病肾病的研究，此课题获1997年度上海市科技进步3等奖；同时也开展糖尿病神经病变的早期诊断和治疗的研究，在国内处领先地位。
2.胰岛素抵抗的研究：在国内最早用Hep G2细胞建立胰岛素抵抗细胞模型，并证实胰岛素原也参与胰岛素抵抗时的致病作用，并用此模型在筛选提高胰岛素敏感性的中药方面作有益探索；在国内最早开展微小模型测定胰岛素抵抗和胰岛β细胞功能等研究，并首次阐述胰岛素抵抗和胰岛β细胞功能缺陷在2型糖尿病发病中的作用，为理解2型糖尿病发病机理提供有力证据.以上研究获上海市科技进步2等奖。
3.糖尿病教育：建立了一套适合中国实际、切实可行、得到国内同行认可的糖尿病教育体系，已申报上海市卫生局临床成果奖。
4.类固醇激素受体共同作用子（SRC）的研究：在国际上首次阐明SRC-3的基因结构，并证实SRC1、2、3的染色体定位，发现SRC1基因剔除后出现甲状腺激素的部分抵抗；建立SRC3基因剔除动物模型。
