徐天乐博士现为中科院神经科学研究所研究员、突触生理学研究组组长。1987年毕业于西安第四军医大学，并于 1996 年在该校获医学博士学位。1994-95 年间在日本 Kyushu 大学 Norio Akaike 教授实验室做访问学者，1997年-1999 年获东京生物化学研究基金会资助在 Kyushu 大学生理系从事博士后研究工作， 1999 年后任中国科技大学神经生物和生物物理学系教授、系主任。2003年加入神经科学研究所。徐天乐博士目前研究方向集中在受体药理学和突触生理学。
