Research Group of Applied Microbiology
应用微生物与基因工程学科组长期从事应用微生物的基础与应用研究。针对我国在生物农药、生物纳米材料、污水生物治理、生物冶金等方面的需求,重点开展杀虫微生物、趋磁微生物、浸矿微生物等应用微生物菌种和基因资源的发掘、功能基因组学、苏云金芽孢杆菌(Bt)杀虫及磁小体合成和微生物浸矿的分子机理等研究,获得了大量的高效、特异性Bt菌株和对钒、镍、钴等多种金属及磷浸出效率高的浸矿微生物菌种;利用基因工程技术,开展应用微生物菌株的遗传改良和优良工程菌的构建;开展趋磁细菌及其生物磁性纳米材料-磁小体的规模化制备技术、微生物冶金关键技术研究及新型Bt杀虫剂(包括基因工程杀虫剂)的研制和抗虫转基因植物研究,评价基因工程Bt杀虫剂和抗虫转基因植物的生态安全性;探索趋磁细菌及其磁小体在医学、污水处理等领域的应用和苏云金芽孢杆菌抗人类肿瘤细胞的活性及机理。
The group carries out researches of applied microbes such as entomopathogenic microorganisms, magnetotactic bacteria and metal-leaching microorganisms. The researches mainly focus on the findings of microbial strains and functional genes, functional genomics, genetic improvement of strains, action mode of Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) and molecular mechanisms of synthesized magnetosomes and bioleaching. We are also interested in key techniques for preparation and application of biomagnetic nanoparticles (magnetosomes) and biopesticide, biological leaching and transgenic plant etc. Our group also studies the activity and action mechanism of Bacillus thuringiensis against cancer cells. The researches in this group are supported by the national programs including the “863” plan, National Nature Science foundation of China (NSFC), and other projects from Chinese government and CAS.
