1976年 毕业于湖北大学(原武汉师范学院)生物系。
1989-1990年 瑞士日内瓦大学分子生物学系, 获硕士学位。
1991-1993年 瑞士日内瓦大学分子生物学系, 获博士学位。
1997年至今 中国科学院微生物研究所

现主持和参加多项植物分子生物学领域的研究项目,其中包括国家“863”计划
