简要介绍：李国祥,江苏赣榆人。1988年7月毕业于北京大学地质学系，1991年于南京地质古生物研究所获理学硕士学位，2000年获理学博士学位。1991年起在南京古生物所工作至今。博士生导师。2004年2月至2005年7月在德国马普学会的资助下，在柏林理工大学作访问学者。主要从事寒武纪早期后生动物骨骼化石(小壳化石、磷质腕足类）及生物地层研究。先后同德国柏林理工大学、瑞典Uppsala大学、美国加州大学San Barbara分校、Virginia Tech大学、俄罗斯科学院古生物研究所等单位的同行学者开展了广泛的国际合作研究。电话：025-83282179。

主要研究兴趣：
1) 寒武纪早期微小骨骼化石的系统分类研究；
2) 离散骨片化石的骨片系重建研究；
3) 早期磷酸盐化球状（动物胚胎）化石；
4) 寒武纪底部地层的区域及洲际对比研究；
5) 寒武纪后生动物爆发性辐射模式及环境背景。
