简要介绍:1985年毕业于长春地质学院地质学专业,1988年在长春地质学院获得地层古生物学硕士学位,1992年在中科院南京地质古生物研究所获博士学位,1997-1999年作为德国马普学会高级访问学者在柏林工业大学做客座研究,1998年入选中国科学院“百人计划”,1999获得“引进国外杰出人才”基金,1999年第一批入选江苏省“333跨世纪人才培养工程”。现任吉林大学兼职教授、国际地层委员会新元古代地层分会选举委员、寒武纪地层分会选举委员、寒武系下部地层再划分工作组组长、《古生物学报》编委会副主任、《自然科学进展》(中英文版)、《古地理学报》、《世界地质》、《Palaeontologia Electronica》、《Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology》编委。

主要研究内容及成果:

主要从事前寒武纪-寒武纪转换时期的生物演化和环境背景领域的相关研究。研究兴趣包括:新元古代和寒武纪综合地层学、动物起源和寒武纪大爆发的化石证据、疑难化石系统学、化石埋藏学、早期遗迹化石、古生态学和古环境等。曾主持包括国家自然科学重点项目、中科院知识创新工程重要方向性项目、973项目二级课题等多项课题,是正在执行的IGCP 512项目联合申请人和协调人之一。已经发表和合作发表论文近100篇 (其中30余篇SCI论文),中文专著1部,主编英文论文集7部。先后主持和组织10余次国际性学术会议。曾获得中国科学院“自然科学特等奖”(1997年,第五获奖人),香港求是科技基金会“杰出科技成就集体奖” (1997年),贵州省科技进步二等奖(2003年,第三获奖人)。
