苗俊英教授，女，1957年11月出生。
1983年毕业于武汉大学生物系，获得细胞生物学学士学位；
1986年毕业于武汉大学研究生院，获得细胞生物学硕士学位。
自1986年9月开始在山东大学生物系细胞生物学教研室工作。1992年10月赴日本名古屋大学理学部留学，1993年4月进入该大学博士课程，1997年9月获得该大学理学博士学位。现为山东大学生命科学学院教授，博士生导师。从事发育生物学、细胞生物学、细胞分化和生命科学前沿等教学工作，自1999年1月开始承担血管内皮细胞凋亡分子机制的研究课题（国家教委留学回国人员启动基金和国家自然科学基金等）。发表研究论文20余篇。
苗俊英教授在日本名古屋大学攻读博士学位和工作期间（1992-1998）在国际上首次证明膜整连蛋白?4和磷脂酰胆碱特异性磷脂酶C参与血管内皮细胞凋亡信号的转导，在国际SCI核心刊物上发表论文4篇，引起国际同行的关注。1998年3月回国后在教育部留学回国人员科研启动基金、教育部高校骨干教师科研基金和国家自然科学基金资助下继续该方向的研究，新发现在蛇毒诱导的血管内皮细胞凋亡中bcl-2基因的mRNA被剪辑为二条（发表于《科学通报》 2000年第3期），并证明p53基因与血管内皮细胞凋亡小体的形成有关，同时发现磷脂酰胆碱特异性磷脂酶C对中华大蟾蜍尾部程序性细胞死亡有重要调控作用，在国内英文SCI刊物上发表论文4篇。现以研究国内外倍受关注的膜整连蛋白?4、磷脂酰胆碱特异性磷脂酶C和bcl-2基因的mRNA剪辑在血管内皮细胞凋亡信号的转导中的功能而具特色。
