中青年骨干：高向东博士，教授、博导
1987 年考入中国科学技术大学生物系； 1992 年获生物系细胞生物学专业学士学位； 1995 年获中国科学技术大学生物系分子生物学专业硕士学位； 1998 年获 复旦大学遗传学研究所遗传学专业博士学位。 1998 年 8 月至 1999 年 8 月于美国佛蒙特大学 （ University of Vermont ）医学院从事博士后研究，研究方向是 与糖尿病研究有关的胰岛素受体底物 IRS-1 和 IRS-2 信号传递途径。 1999 年 8 月至 2003 年 8 月于 美国宾夕法尼亚大学 （ University of Pennsylvania ） 医学院细胞与发育生物学系从事博士后研究，研究方向是酵母细胞极性建立过程中 GTP- 结合蛋白 Cdc42p 的功能和调控机制。 2003 年 8 月至 2006 年 8 月在同一实验室任研究助理 (Research Associate) 。 2006 年 8 月回国，在武汉大学生命科学学院工作。
研究方向 ： 细胞极性建立与维持的分子机制。
