中青年骨干：鄢慧民博士，研究员、博导
鄢慧民 毕业于武汉大学生物系，获学士、博士学位，并留校任教，历任助教、讲师、副教授、博士生导师。 1998-2002 年在美国凯斯西保留地大学（ Case Western Reserve University ）医学院病理学系任 Research Associate 从事 博士后研究。承担了两个 NIH( 美国国立卫生研究所 ) 资助的研究项目 : “被 IgA 抗体结合的麻疹病毒在粘膜上皮细胞中的命运”和“粘膜组织 IgA 抗体抗艾滋病毒 (HIV) 功能的研究”。 2002 年回武汉大学生命科学学院从事教学和科研工作。在 SARS 病毒流行期间，担任武汉大学 SARS 病毒科技攻关组副组长，相关工作获湖北省自然科学二等奖。 2005 年再次前往美国 Case Western Reserve University 医学院病理学系进行短期合作访问，开展 Prion 与粘膜及 IgA 相互作用关系的研究。 2006 年受聘为中国科学院武汉病毒研究所研究员，任粘膜免疫学科组组长。目前主持国家自然科学基金、湖北省科技攻关、国家 “973” 专项子课题等科研项目。
主要研究方向 : 粘膜免疫抗病毒机制及其应用。研究内容： 麻疹病毒、艾滋病毒、 SARS 冠状病毒等的特异 IgA 抗体抗病毒机制研究，粘膜疫苗、粘膜佐剂与粘膜上皮细胞的相互作用及粘膜免疫效应研究。
