刘阳 男，1961年11月出生，博士。
于1988年获得Australian National University博士学位，并于1989至1991年在Yale University从事博士后研究。
1992年至1998年在New York University Medical Center工作，历任助理教授，副教授。
从1998年至今在Ohio State University Medical Center任职，现为Kurtz Chair病理学教授，癌症免疫部主任。
曾获Searle Scholar Award 及 Lucille Markey Scholar award等奖。近五年来在Nature,Immunity,JEM,PNAS等刊物上已发表数十篇论文。
主要研究方向为:
1）利用人源化小鼠生产能促进抗乙肝病毒的细胞毒T细胞(CTL)免疫力的单克隆抗体；
2) 共刺激分子的研究。

Dr. Yang Liu was born in 1961, and earned his PhD in Australian National University in 1988. He completed his post-doctoral research in Yale University School of Medicine in 1989~1991, and started his laboratory at New York University Medical Center in 1992. Dr. Liu established that microbial induction of costimulatory molecules as a key link between innate and adaptive immunity.?His lab also established the basic principle that T cell costimulation not only play a critical role in the activation of T cells, but also in the development and effector function of T cells.?Dr. Liu received Searle Scholar Award and Markey Scholar Award, and was recently elected as Fellow of AAAS. Dr. Liu is the Professor and Director at Division of Cancer Immunology of Pathology in Ohio State University Medical Center. His laboratory studies molecular and cellular aspects of T cell development, activation and effector function using both cancer and autoimmune diseases models.? The major focus of the group is the immunobiology of cositmulatory molecules. In the area of cancer immunology, his main interest is the interaction between T cells and cancer cells.?In the area of autoimmunity, Dr. Liu focuses on the role for costimulation in in negative selection and requirement for costimulation in the autoimmune destruction of the central nervous system.
